Elemeno P burst on to the NZ rock scene in the early 2000’s with a string of massive hits and a triple platinum selling #1 album. Their infectious anthems include Verona, Every Day’s A Saturday, 11:57 and Fast Times in Tahoe. More music is on the way, with the new single due to be released before the end of the year.
Jordan Luck Band are one of the best live bands in the country! Jordan fronted Dance Exponents, later The Exponents, and the hits are numerous; Victoria, I’ll Say Goodbye, Who Loves Who The Most, Why Does Love Do This To Me….and so many more. The Great Lake Taupo Big Bang

Taupo's Big Bang Fireworks display is fun for the whole family. We start off at the Tongariro South Domain with some kid-friendly activities such as Trolls the movie, a lolly scramble and light sabre giveaways followed by a short walk to the lakefront for the first of two fireworks display.
The first smaller display will take place at 10pm. Music will start up after the display down at the lakefront while we wait for the big bang at midnight to welcome in the New Year.
2018 Epic Swim

The Epic Swim is a recreational open water swimming event which is held each year on the idyllic setting of Lake Taupo, and is staged in conjunction with the New Zealand Open Water Championships and New Zealand Secondary School Championships.
There are races for all ages and ability levels. From 100m and 500m for children, 1km and 2.5km races for intermediate swimmers, to the 5km and 10km races for the more advanced.
For those who are up for more of a challenge, the Epic Epic race will test your mental and physical abilities. The Epic Epic is a 17.km race combining the 5k, 2.5km, and 10k Epic races.
The 5km and 10km NZ Championships races, the 1km, 2.5km and 5km New Zealand Secondary School Championships races, as well as the Masters 2.5km championship race are also held over the weekend.
Take the opportunity to swim alongside some of New Zealand's best open water swimmers, enjoy the idyllic setting of Lake Taupo and get yourself some excellent practice on the same course as the New Zealand Ironman.
