Hosted by Lava Glass Art Glass Studio, Gallery and Cafe, Artful Minds Exhibition brings together vibrant new works by nine innovative Taupo artists. This is the first exhibition for Artful Minds as a group.

Christine Robb, Sally-Ann Davies, Maggie Dawson, Jacquie Goldsmith, Jenny Cook-Battersby, Marion Bright, Angela Zajonskowski, Jane Fogden and Michelle Edlin showcase a fascinating variety of work using mediums from painting to printmaking, ceramics and woodturning.

The Jock Hobbs Memorial National Under 19 Tournament is back for a sixth year in 2019, with the support of Mitre 10.
Taupo’s Owen Delany Park will host the 2019 Tournament on Sunday 8th, Wednesday 11th and Saturday 14th September. 400 players from 16 teams will compete across two divisions (premiership and championship) for the Graham Mourie Cup and Sir Michael Jones Trophy respectively.

This annual event is the largest outdoor trade show of this kind in New Zealand.
More than 6000 hunters visit the show each year for the competitions, taxidermy, and the latest innovations in hunting and outdoor-related products and services.
There are more than 170 exhibitors this year, ranging from outdoor clothing and footwear retailers to shooting suppliers, pest solution specialists, conservation groups, hunting clubs, magazines, guided safari operators, and many others.
